Finished with my exams last week!

Also, my FYP is FINALLY finished!! TT_TT can't believe it's over... I still have the poster presentation to prepare for but whatever, 90% of my work is DONE!!!

As it turns out, I failed another subject last sem oTL so now, I have 4 papers to worry about *headdesk* And I deferred my FYP to this sem... I'M. GONNA. DIE.

Anyway, updates:-
>> Currently doing my FYP and re-taking 2 subjects this sem.
>> I have lotsa post-it notes stuck to my desk reminding me to actually do something about my FYP. I want to not give a damn but I can't coz 80% of total marks come from the project report/thesis/long ass writing. FML.
>> Not really minding re-taking the subjects coz I only have classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. =D More free time!!!
>> Moving on. I have ONE supplementary paper to sit for but under my Head of Programme (HOP)'s advice, I'm postponing that to next sem. Thank God! Otherwise my brain will implode with the amount of studying I'll have to do.

The one shitty thing about this sem is I didn't know it had already started in April. Mainly coz I was still in the midst of my January sem - not to mention, studying for my final exams in mid-April. Then my HOP contacted me about enrolling for my FYP and he didn't say a thing about re-taking my failed subjects GRRR!!. I had assumed that the new sem would be starting this month but I was wrong. FML. Went to see him after receiving an email saying I had failed my Mobile paper - wasn't expecting to pass anyway with my last minute cramming =( Had a talk/discussion with him about what to do??? Finally decided to take 2 subjects with my FYP coz I really really really needed to finish my FYP. Period.

Enough ranting, need to eat. Later~~

>> Hoping to find a part-time job to fund this new 'plan/hobby' of mine...

>> Road trip with cousins? IDK but it's one of the few things us cousins wanna do together :D
>> Planning to take up piano-playing again... My poor piano is collecting dust in the dining room oTL
>> Determined to stay away from anything related to my degree course... It's been a recurring nightmare for the past 4 years (excluding this year). Unless it's a desk-job, then it's fine XD

the finals are finally OVER!!! \(^O^)/

currently enjoying my 2 week break (^_^)b

i was cleaning out my study materials last night when i got the urge to type out all the tutorials i've done for my Financial Management class 8D
it's not so bad since i'm using Microsoft Excel =P

unsurprisingly, it's the only class i've truly enjoyed all semester XD
unlike my classmates, i don't find the class difficult or boring. plus the final exam is an open-book type exam 8D

 now that the major part of group design project is over, all i'm stuck with is preparing a report of my subsystem and updating my logbook.

right now, i still have 2 more papers to write and it's home free~~~~ for me =D

one of them, which i'm doing right now, needs to be handed in tomorrow but since i wasn't in class yesterday... our lecturer postponed the deadline to next Monday \(^O^)/

but the other one is due next Friday and i haven't done a thing.... oTL

my game plan would be: finish what i'm doing right now & do the other one over the weekend. WISH ME LUCK!!

 going absolutely crazy right now (@_@) so many things to do, so little time oTL

apparently my lecturer took my tentative demo last Tuesday as the actual demo of the program that we've been doing for this subject oTL i thought i could carry out a 'proper' demo today but he told me otherwise TT___TT

but now that the demo is over, i need to concentrate on completing my logbook & prepare the final report for this mini-project... which i have to hand-in this coming Tuesday (>_<)

more importantly, my group design project isn't progressing AT ALL oTL i finally fabricated a PCB for the sensor circuit but now i have to figure out a way to connect it to a water pump and solenoid valve (which my dad brought back)...

the final presentation for the project is this coming Monday afternoon... meaning i have to be in formal wear for the whole day oTL really BAD coz i have classes from 8am to 8pm TT___TT

plus i just received an email saying that my internship presentation is on Tuesday oTL

i've been experimenting/cooking Macaroni & Cheese (from scratch!) for the past week or so and thankfully the outcome was better than i'd expected xD don't have a photo of it though... i think i'll lay off Mac & Cheese for a while after this (>_>)

back home from my Bangkok trip =D

post-trip report:
Day One
left the country by train around 3pm. definitely regretted the decision to agree to ride a train to Bangkok instead of flying orz

Day Two
reached Bangkok around 11am. rode the underground train to reach where we were gonna stay during our trip, Rembrant Towers Serviced Apartment. it was a 4-star place so it was really nice to stay over =D walked around afterwards, had a late lunch at a Korean BBQ restaurant and walked around some more. forgot what we had for dinner xD went to bed early...

Day Three
Merry Christmas!!
met up with a tour taxi driver (Mr. Noopit) who offered to drive us around to anywhere we wanted to go (^_^)b went to the famous Floating Market first. took us about an hour to get there by car D8 not really worth it coz there really wasn't much to see and the boat was expensive oTL then we went to the Royal Palace. the place was HUGE! took some time walking around but it was worth more than the Floating Market. Lastly we went to the Reclining Buddha's temple. took us a while to actually find the correct temple coz we kept going around in circles XD it was 10 times bigger than the one we have in Penang 8D got back to the apartment later than expected coz of the traffic jam orz went to dinner with a business associate of dad's. as it turned out, we were having dinner at a Christmas function oTL but good thing it was only semi-formal otherwise we would've been severely underdressed xD

Day Four
went to the Safari Zoo today =D there was a huge crowd when we got there and most of them were in tour groups orz but luckily they were more interested in catching the animal shows so after breaking away from them, we had more space to breathe 8D also got on a ride on a bus for a trip around the Safari Park. unfortunately my camera went dead near the end of the ride so i couldn't take that many pics Dx dad was tired from walking around so we just followed wherever Mr. Noopit wanted to take us. he showed us where the snake farm was and also MBK, the biggest shopping mall in Bangkok (with reasonable bargain prices (^_^)b) went back to the apartment and rested a bit before we left for a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River. the dinner was worth every baht paid =D

Day Five
spent the whole day at MBK, shopping 8D finally left the mall around 5pm and took the monorail back. spent an hour walking around coz dad wanted to find a pizza place that used the traditional method of baking the pizza using a stone oven oTL

Day Six
checked out of the apartment around 11am and caught a cab to the airport. flew out of Bangkok at 2.15pm and arrived back in Penang around 4pm. reached home around 6pm =D

gonna leave behind my DSLR and bringing along a compact digicam instead :]

on a belated note, had fun at Comic Fiesta 2010 :D also found some awesome Trinity Blood cosplayers and that's the highlight of my ENTIRE trip to KL \(^_^)/

today's the last day of my industrial training! :D

had McD for lunch, paid for by my immediate supervisor. yesterday, my manager aka external supervisor took us out for lunch as a farewell 'party' at Nando's 8D

can't believe i could keep at it for that long oTL it's hard to believe for myself coz usually i get bored of most things after some time (like my guitar lessons)

looking back on my old posts... i realized something...
i used to blog almost every day about anything and everything but i rarely do that nowadays D8

there's usually something to rant/blog about almost every day but... my life's a bore these days =_= since i started my degree course, in fact oTZ

well, i'll try to change that but there're no guarantees... coz nothing excites me as easily lately...

finally home from my diploma graduation ceremony, which was held at the Equatorial Hotel this afternoon :)

nothing much to say about the ceremony itself besides the fact that at the end of it, i was starving and thirsty and in desperate need of the nearest washroom oTL

...and my cheeks hurt from smiling so much for cameras today orz
